| High Desert Painted not too far from Taos, New Mexico very near the rim of the Rio Grande Gorge, Don took advantage of the summer afternoon light. In his own words he says, "The light and the movement of the clouds made the combination too rich to pass up." | Lavender Moon |
The location of Lavender Moon is actually only a few miles from the location of Awakening Day. Being in the middle of Winter, the heavy and cold atmosphere caused the sky to glow with a pink hue as the moon came up. The combination of warm hues, particularly the grass and willows, and the cool colors of the sky and snow made the perfect combination.
